Labouring positions exist for both experienced and new to the industry applicants. Asphalt experience will be highly regarded, however an attitude focused on teamwork, quality and safety is more than enough to secure an opportunity.
Key responsibilities
Assisting the asphalt paving crew with manual labour tasks such as raking, shoveling and compacting asphalt
Preparing the worksite by clearing debris and setting up safety barriers and signage
Operating small equipment and hand tools required for asphalt work
Operating mobile plant such as asphalt pavers, roller, bobcat (where licenced and skilled)
Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment throughout the project
Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe worksite
About you
Australian citizenship is required for this position
Asphalt experience or the ability to learn
Construction White Card
Drivers license and your own reliable transport
A provisional licence as a minimum requirement
Solid physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of manual labour work
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills on the job
Positive communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
Possess a strong commitment to safety
