About the role

Bark Hair, a leading Canberra salon, is looking for a dedicated and talented 1st/2nd Year Hairdressing Apprentice to join our team. As a full-time apprentice, you'll learn from experienced stylists and develop your craft in a supportive, hands-on environment — an ideal starting point for anyone passionate about the hair and beauty industry.

What you'll be doing
Assisting senior stylists with client consultations, shampooing, and foundational hairdressing tasks
Learning and practising cut, colour, and styling techniques under expert guidance
Keeping the salon clean, organised, and running smoothly
Delivering warm, skilled customer service that makes every client's visit a great one
Completing the theoretical and practical training that forms your apprenticeship

What we're looking for
Genuine enthusiasm for the hair and beauty industry
A positive attitude and a real willingness to learn
Solid customer service skills and a team-first mindset
Attention to detail and pride in your work
