An immediate chance has become available for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join a busy organisation on an initial 3 month temporary contract with high likelyhood to extend longer.
This is a hands-on role suited to an established payroll professional who can confidently step into a complex environment, learn current processes quickly and take ownership of day-to-day payroll requirements. You’ll be joining a collaborative team and working closely with stakeholders across the broader business.
What You’ll Be Doing
Managing end-to-end payroll processing across multiple Australian entities
Applying and interpreting relevant awards, EBAs and payroll requirements
Processing starters, leavers, adjustments and other payroll changes
Investigating payroll discrepancies and responding to employee queries
Completing payroll reconciliations, reporting and compliance-related tasks
Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring deadlines are met
Partnering with HR, Finance and operational teams to resolve payroll matters

What We’re Looking For




You’ll be an experienced payroll professional who is comfortable stepping into a role and making an impact quickly.
Ideally, You Will Bring
Solid end-to-end payroll experience
Previous exposure to complex and/or multi-entity payroll environments
Sound knowledge of awards and EBAs
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Confidence investigating and resolving payroll issues
The ability to manage competing deadlines in a busy environment
A practical, adaptable and team-focused approach
Availability to commence at short notice
