1947 is a family-run café serving traditional Palestinian food and Middle Eastern-inspired breakfast and lunch. We’re looking for an experienced chef to join our team!
The position:
Part-time permanent or subcontract employment
Qualified kitchen experience required
Preference for a chef with experience or a passion for cooking Middle Eastern dishes
Preparing fresh meals and traditional Palestinian cuisine
Maintaining food quality, consistency and kitchen cleanliness
Conducting regular stocktakes and monitoring ingredient levels
Managing ingredient orders from suppliers and communicating stock requirements to management
Minimising food waste and maintaining proper food storage
Working within a relaxed, friendly team environment
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their cooking, is organised, has a positive work ethic and can take responsibility for keeping the kitchen running smoothly
Pay: $29.45 per hour
