THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Law Clerk within the Commercial Litigation team at William Roberts, you will benefit from being part of a collaborative, driven and creative workplace and be guided by experienced and well-rounded practitioners who love to share their knowledge.

We are currently looking for motivated and enthusiastic law students and recent graduates who want to kick-start their legal career and build a strong foundation in litigation in a friendly and collegiate environment.

THE ROLE

This is a full time position, working 5 days per week. In this role you will have the prospect to:
Support senior litigators on a broad variety of commercial litigation matters;
Receive ongoing training, mentoring and guidance;
Assist with legal research, drafting correspondence, preparing court documents and summarising materials;
Assist with discovery and document management, brief preparation and the preparation of court books;
Attend to filing, service and other court-related administrative tasks;
Work collaboratively as part of a team while gradually taking ownership of your own tasks.

ABOUT YOU

You will be looking to launch your legal career with a growing commercial litigation firm.



You will be a current law student or recent graduate (or have completed or be close to completing practical legal training), with a strong academic record.

We are looking for someone who will bring enthusiasm and drive to the role and wants to grow with us and the Commercial Litigation team. You will have:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities;
A willingness to learn and take on feedback;
A results and outcomes focused approach and a commitment to excellence.
