The Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Butcher to join our Underwood team. This is not just a cutting job, it’s an opportunity to be part of a business that values tradition, quality, and community.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cut, trim, and portion beef, lamb, chicken, and goat to halal standards.
Ensure correct handling, storage, and display of all meat products.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with selections, special orders, and cooking advice.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment in line with food safety standards.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

About You:
Previous experience as a butcher (halal experience highly regarded, but training provided for the right candidate).
Strong knife and portioning skills with attention to detail.
Understanding of halal requirements in meat preparation.
