Bridal Dressmaker - Contractor Positions

A growing bridal label specialising in handcrafted silk gowns and beaded lace dresses is seeking experienced freelance seamstresses and dressmakers.

It’s an exciting time for the business, and we’re looking for contractors with a background in bridal wear to work with our small team. We’re looking for people who are passionate about the craft, take pride in their work, and care deeply about quality and craftsmanship.

About the role

Work is completed from your own workspace, with fortnightly or monthly visits to our studio. Work volume will be discussed based on your availability.

What we’re looking for
Proven experience in bridal, couture or high-end garment construction
Experience working with silk, lace, beading and delicate fabrics
Your own industrial sewing machine and robust machine skills
A very high standard of finishing and attention to detail
Reliable,



organised and comfortable working to deadlines
Able to work independently
An active ABN and Australian working rights
Able to attend our studio fortnightly

Rates will depend on experience.

We also welcome experienced freelance seamstresses and dressmakers.

Contractors must be available to attend our Byron Bay studio weekly or fortnightly, as well as for consecutive training days when learning current styles.
