As our Local Area Marketing Specialist, you'll carry a dual mandate: deepening El Jannah's connection with the communities that made us across NSW and the ACT, and actively uplifting how the brand shows up in every store.
Based in our Sydney office in Olympic Park, you'll build genuine local relationships, run culturally credible activations, and be the brand's eyes and ears inside NSW and ACT stores.
You'll work with franchisees and operations to make sure the in-store experience matches the brand promise everywhere.What You'll Be DoingActing as custodian of how El Jannah is perceived across NSW and the ACT, protecting and strengthening the brand's equity in its home marketKeeping El Jannah's Western Sydney roots front and centre as the brand grows across Sydney, regional NSW and Canberra, and never letting them be replaced by something generic or corporatePlanning and running grassroots, community-led activations, including football watch-alongs, school and community partnerships, nightlife and event adjacency, and cultural community tie-insBuilding real, lasting relationships with local clubs, schools,



cultural organisations and grassroots networks across NSW and the ACTCoordinating local area marketing across NSW and ACT stores and tailoring activity to each neighbourhood and communitySupporting new store openings so that each one connects to local community and cultural activity and lands well from day oneDeveloping and maintaining deep, suburb-level knowledge of every El Jannah store in NSW and the ACT, including community demographics, foot traffic, competitor landscape and local identityBeing the person who can speak immediately and specifically to any NSW or ACT store when it's raised, including its trading context and brand perceptionTracking and reporting on community engagement, activation performance and brand sentiment across NSW and the ACTSharing local insight with the broader Marketing team to refine our approach and keep the brand strong as the network growsWhat We're Looking ForA genuine connection to El Jannah and what it represents beyond the food.
A Western Sydney and/or Lebanese-Australian cultural background is ideal but not essentialA real understanding of how El Jannah built its reputation in Western Sydney, not just what El Jannah sellsStrong local knowledge of Sydney's communities, with an understanding of regional NSW and Canberra a bonusA track record in grassroots, underground or community-led activation rather than traditional or conventional marketingAn understanding of where sport, music,



mass cultural affiliation and identity meet, and how food connects peopleExperience building authentic relationships with clubs, community groups and cultural networksDeep cultural fluency and credibility with the communities El Jannah connects toCreativity and initiative to build activations from the ground up, often without a templateSound judgement to protect the brand and recognise what feels authentic versus corporateComfort working on the ground and in community settings, coordinating multiple local activities and partners at onceWillingness to travel regularly across NSW and the ACTExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWork that genuinely matters.
