We are looking for an energetic and personable Finance Officer to join our Sydney team.We are a collaborative, award-winning Architecture and Interior Design practice located in the historic Jones Bay Wharf building, overlooking Sydney Harbour.
This is a hands‐on role with responsibility for the day-to-day management of the practice's finance function.The RoleThis is a diverse role within a creative studio workplace, working closely with the Directors and wider team.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the practice's financial operations, with responsibilities including:Accounts Payable & ReceivableProject billing, invoicing and debt collectionPayroll managementBank reconciliationsMonth-end processes and financial reportingBAS and tax complianceBudgeting,



forecasting and cash-flow managementProject financial tracking and cost ratesFinancial recordkeeping and controlsAd-hoc financial and administrative supportSkills & Experience5+ years' experience in finance, accounting or a similar roleExperience managing payroll, preferably using XeroExperience with BAS, month-end processes and financial reportingStrong understanding of budgeting and forecastingExcellent organisational and time-management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailInitiative and a proactive, can-do approachAbility to work independently and take ownership of responsibilitiesPersonable and confident working with a range of stakeholdersOn site role no remote workBenefitsGreat team and studio cultureSpectacular waterfront location at Jones Bay WharfCompetitive salaryOpportunity for growth and professional developmentCollaborative and creative working environment
