Allied Express requires highly motivated Forklift Operator, for our express freight operations based at our Archerfield depot.You will carry out a mixture of duties in your role.Full time role - Monday to Friday starting at 12:30pm to 20:06pm (Overtime when required)Will be required to work off Forklift when requested.You will support our inbound line-haul & freight processing operation.Your Role:Processing inbound and outbound freight according to Allied and regulatory standards ensuring it meets cut off deadlines.Manual handling of freight in a team setting, use of handheld scanners to sort, unload, and distribute freight.Helping out with additional tasks as required, including housekeeping.Operating forklifts safely, moving pallets and freight to designated run bays/areas,



loading and unloading of trucks when required.To be successful in this role previous experience and skills must include:You will be part of a team.The ability to multi-task, adapt to changing needs and deadlines, and to work within a team environment.The ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.Adhere to safe work practices and procedures.Attention to detail and ability to complete set tasks.Have a "Positive - Can Do" attitude.Be prepared to perform manual handling tasks safely - sorting freight, loading and unloading trucks.Have a current forklift license and be proficient in operating one.There are also career paths available for those individuals with the ability, desire and passion to succeed in a fast-paced operation.Please note that only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
