Role DescriptionWe are currently seeking Fire Safety or Protection/Services Technicians or Engineers to join our team, willing to work on fire safety assessments.
We welcome applications from both experienced professionals and emerging engineers with experience in the fire safety field.This is a contract, full-time or part-time role for a Senior/Intermediate Fire Technician/Engineer MUST based in Brisbane, QLD familiar with NCC basics.The work primary involves visiting sites and clients, preparing fire reports, risk assessments, consulting calls with inspections.
The role will initially be home-based for approximately three to six months.
Once our Brisbane office is established, it will transition to a fully office-based position.
So you should be able to work independently and effective.The Fire Consultant will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and implementing fire safety strategies and systems.
Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with clients and stakeholders, conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and developing fire protection and life safety solutions.
Additionally,



the Fire Engineer will be involved in construction site visits and providing expertise on fire alarm or suppression systems.QualificationsMust have a strong communication and project management skillsMust have a basic knowledge (or developing knowledge) of the NCC/BCA, Australian Standards, and local fire safety legislationA commitment to continuous learning and professional developmentSkilled in Fire protection, Process Safety or Risk Engineering is beneficialAbility to work collaboratively and independentlyPreferably, a degree (or near completion) in Fire Safety, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, or related engineering disciplineExperience in the construction and consultancy sectors is beneficialAbout the RoleYou will play a key role in delivering high-quality fire safety engineering services across a wide variety of building projects.

Working based in Queensland.Preparing performance-based fire safety design documentation, including:Performance solutionsFire safety declarations and certificatesSite inspections during and after construction phasesReviewing architectural and services documentation for BCA and regulatory complianceDeveloping innovative, practical engineering solutions to complex fire safety challengesEngaging with clients, design teams, and approval authorities to support design outcomesPerforming fire engineering analysis including smoke, egress, and evacuation modellingAvailable for travel to sites in Australia, New Zealand or Asia-PacificWhy Join Us?
