The care and support provided by Youth Workers will enhance opportunities for the young person to participate in age-appropriate activities to support development of positive self-regard, to support community inclusion, to support positive relations with family of origin and to contribute to placement stability.This role involves being the primary caregiver during shift, ensuring the safety of young people in care, and imparting essential life skills to establish a consistent routine.
Collaborating with the Coordinator and Service Manager, you'll help develop trauma-informed interventions for these young individuals with complex issues.What a day in the life of a Residential Youth Worker looks likePlanning and engaging in meaningful activities with the young person.Being a vital part of a cohesive team, dedicated to helping young people achieve their personal goals.Promoting good hygiene and nutrition.Maintaining daily case notes, handling administrative tasks, and preparing incident reports.Full availability required across weekdays, weekends and public holidaysQualifications, Credentials and Other RequirementsA Certificate IV or higher qualification in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Youth Services, Community Services,
