Part-Time (2-3 days/wk) | Seven Hills, NSWPayroll with purpose and an opportunity to make a real differenceAbout the roleWe're looking for an organised and detail-focused Payroll Officer to join our team.
You'll play an important role in ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time, while providing responsive support to employees and maintaining high standards of payroll compliance and confidentiality.
This is a excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working with people, solving problems and taking ownership of a reliable payroll service.
Working days will include Mondays and Tuesdays, with total hours up to 2-3 days per week as negotiated with the successful candidate.Key responsibilitiesProcessing end-to-end fortnightly payroll for approximately 70 employees across 4 entitiesMaintaining accurate employee payroll recordsProcessing timesheets, leave, allowances and other payroll adjustmentsManaging superannuation and other statutory payroll requirementsSupporting payroll reporting, month-end and year-end activitiesResponding to employee payroll queries promptly and professionallyInterpreting relevant awards, enterprise agreements and employment conditionsWorking closely with People & Culture and Finance to resolve payroll mattersMaintaining accurate records and protecting sensitive employee informationIdentifying opportunities to improve payroll processes,



controls and employee experienceAbout youPrevious experience in an end-to-end payroll positionSound knowledge of Australian payroll practices and employment conditions, including Award interpretationExperience working with Xero (preferred)Strong Excel skills and confidence working with payroll dataExcellent attention to detail and numerical accuracyStrong organisational skills and the ability to meet payroll deadlinesClear, professional communication and a customer-focused approachGood judgement when handling confidential and sensitive informationThe ability to investigate discrepancies and follow issues through to resolutionAbout usHope Media is a creative, energetic Christian media organisation with a great culture and a great team.
