Financial Accountant - 4-Month TemporaryFinancial Accountant | $***** hourly + Super | Immediate Start | Sydney Olympic ParkThe Company & Role An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a well-established global business.
In this critical role, you will take ownership of key corporate accounting activities across the ANZ business, ensuring strong financial control, accurate reporting, and effective stakeholder engagement.Key responsibilities include:Managing month-end close activities including journals, accruals, reconciliations and financial reportingSupporting treasury activities including daily cash management, cash flow forecasting and liquidity reportingReviewing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving accounting issues in a timely mannerOverseeing payroll accounting, provisions and employee-related accounting entriesManaging lease accounting in accordance with IFRS16/AASB16 requirementsPartnering with corporate cost centre managers across Finance, HR, Legal and other functions to manage spend,



accruals and forecastsReviewing AP payment runs and maintaining appropriate financial controlsSupporting budgeting, forecasting and management reporting activitiesPreparing audit deliverables and assisting with statutory compliance requirementsDriving process improvement and automation initiatives across the finance functionAbout YouCA or CPA qualification8+ years' experience in Financial Accounting, Corporate Accounting or Group Reporting rolesExperience within medium to large-scale organisations ($300M+ revenue preferred)Solid SAP experience (essential)Strong understanding of balance sheet management, month-end processes, statutory reporting and financial controlsA proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomouslyWhat's on Offer?
