Early in your career at Stake, you'll have:
Contributed production code that improves the experience of customers, working alongside experienced engineers
Written clear, maintainable and well-tested code, following Stake's engineering best practices
Taken part in design reviews, planning sessions and retrospectives, and built your understanding of how we run reliable, scalable services
Learned to support the systems you help build in production,
with guidance from more experienced engineers
Grown through thoughtful code reviews, giving and receiving feedback with equal confidence
Built strong working relationships across Product, Design and Engineering
Shown the curiosity, ownership and consistency that set you up for an ongoing role as an Associate Software Engineer
You'll thrive here if...
You completed your degree in ****, **** or **** – ideally in computer science, though we welcome applicants from other disciplines – and you're hungry to kick-start a career in software engineering
You enjoy building software – through coursework, side projects, internships or open source – and can show us what you've made
You value simplicity and understand that the best solutions are often the ones that are easiest to operate, maintain and evolve
You take ownership and follow through on what you start
You enjoy collaborating, asking good questions and sharing what you learn
You welcome feedback and use it to improve quickly
You're curious, adaptable and excited to learn new technologies and approaches
Contributed to open source or built something people actually use
So what happens next?
Once we've received your application, we'll give it the attention it deserves.
If we think you'd be a valuable addition to our team, here's what to expect:
Online application with AI interview - A first touchpoint to understand your background, motivation and skillset.
Live coding interview - Oct/Nov ****.
Solve a real problem with one of our engineers, thinking out loud as you go.
