This role is based at head office.About the RoleThis is a head office based role, not tied to a single asset.
You will take a strategic view of facilities management across the portfolio, acting as a facilities leader who shapes maintenance programs, manages contractors and ensures every property is safe, compliant and well presented.
You will also play a key part in mobilising new assets, from operational handover through to the defects and liability period.Key responsibilities include:Overseeing preventative and reactive maintenance, compliance and procurement across the portfolioDeveloping maintenance programs, asset registers, lifecycle costs and capital expenditure forecasts for each propertyManaging service contracts and essential services, including tenders, project supervision and contractor complianceLeading health and safety, risk and emergency management, including training for the Asset Operations teamMobilising recent properties, including operational handover,



managing builders and trades on site, and supporting defects managementPreparing and managing facilities budgets, and reporting on financial results with action plans to drive improvementWorking closely with Asset Management, Development and Finance, as well as councils and other external stakeholdersAbout YouAttitude, initiative and a can-do approach are essential: you take ownership, spot what needs doing and be practiveExperience in facilities management, building operations or property operations, ideally across residential, commercial or mixed-use assetsSound knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, mechanical, fire and securityDemonstrated experience in work health and safety, risk management and emergency management planningProven contractor management and experience developing and implementing maintenance plansStrong budgeting and analytical skills, with intermediate to advanced Word, Excel and OutlookA practical, calm and solutions-focused operator with a genuine commitment to service excellence
