Our client is a privately owned, diversified property group, they are looking for a Senior Financial Controller to lead the finance function across a multi-entity group of companies, trusts and development vehicles.Reporting jointly to the CFO and the Managing Director, you will be a trusted commercial partner as well as the owner of financial integrity and compliance.Key responsibilitiesLead monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and consolidation across multiple entities and trusts, in line with AASB/IFRSOversee development and project accounting, including feasibility, cost-to-complete, capitalisation and revenue recognition on settlementManage cashflow forecasting, treasury, debt facilities, covenant reporting and lender relationshipsOversee tax compliance across companies and trusts (BAS, FBT, payroll tax, land tax, Division 7A, UPEs), as well as international obligations such as CFC, transfer pricing and thin capitalisationLead the external audit process and strengthen financial controls, governance, insurance and ASIC compliancePrepare board packs and investment committee materials, and support due diligence, structuring and modelling for acquisitions,



JVs and divestmentsLead and develop the finance team (AP, AR, payroll, reporting) and drive systems and process improvementPartner with senior leadership on financial strategy, group structuring and long-term capital planningAbout youCA or CPA qualified, with 10+ years' post-qualification experience, including 5+ years as a Financial Controller or in senior finance leadershipBackground in property development, real estate, family office or a similarly complex multi-entity structureStrong technical knowledge of consolidation, trust accounting and property development accountingProven record of leading audits, managing tax compliance and working with lenders and advisorsAdvanced Excel and financial modelling skills, plus ERP experience (Xero, MYOB, NetSuite or similar)Team leadership experience, with the ability to communicate clearly with non-finance executives and family principalsDiscreet, hands-on and comfortable in a privately held, family-controlled environmentBilingual English/Mandarin is highly desirable
