About the roleThis is a Criminal Lawyer position in a friendly and well-established boutique firm located on Cotton Tree Esplanade, Maroochydore.
The main areas of their criminal practice are traffic offences and serious criminal matters before the Magistrates Court and Superior Courts.ResponsibilitiesManaging criminal law files and providing strategic legal advice;Preparing court documents, submissions and briefs;Appearing in Court and conducting mentions, bail applications and hearings;Advising and representing clients throughout criminal proceedings;Liaising with barristers, police, prosecutors and other stakeholders;Maintaining accurate file records and meeting court deadlines; andManaging completing priorities while delivering high-qualify client service.About youMinimum 2 years PAE;Experience in criminal law practice and court proceedings;Experience in running your own files;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;Strong advocacy, drafting and legal research skills;Have a high level of initiative,



and a pro‐active approach;The ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines; andAbility to build business and client relationships.Experience with LEAP legal software and with the Legal Aid Queensland portal being an advantage.About usWe are a boutique firm located on the Cotton Tree Esplanade in Maroochydore, on the Sunshine Coast.
