Your knowledge in Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic, Penetrant and Visual Testing will play a critical role in ensuring every train meets the highest standards of safety, quality and reliability helping shape the future of rail manufacturing.We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing QC Inspector - Non‐Destructive Testing (NDT) to support train bogie and carbody manufacturing operations on QTMP.
This is a hands‐on, high‐impact role where your inspections and technical judgement will directly influence the quality, safety and delivery of Queensland's next‐generation passenger fleet.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct Non‐Destructive Testing and inspection activities across train manufacturing operationsEnsure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards, aligned with Downer's Zero Harm commitmentAchieve and maintain NDT performance KPIs in support of production delivery milestonesIdentify, report and elevate quality issues that may impact schedule or safetyPromote a strong quality culture and continuous improvement mindsetCollaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers and project stakeholdersRead, interpret and apply weld, fabrication and manufacturing standardsSupport cost efficiency by identifying improvement and waste‐reduction opportunitiesLead by example, fostering teamwork,
