Until now, accounts payable has been handled by the financial accountants on top of their day jobs.
Volumes and cross-border complexity have outgrown that - so they're hiring their first dedicated AP specialist to own the function and set the standard.The RoleYou'll own end-to-end AP for a high-volume, international supplier base:Prepare and reconcile supplier statements, which are generated from the business's own order management platform and agreed with suppliers before they invoiceProcess invoices and manage payment runs, including foreign currency paymentsAct as the main contact for suppliers on statements,



queries and discrepanciesDocument AP processes and tighten payment controlsRemove single-person dependency on paymentsWork with the finance transformation and AI engineering teams to build on the automation already underwayWhat They're Looking For5+ years of AP experience in a high-volume business, including ownership of the end-to-end processCross-border supplier experience — foreign currency invoices and payments, FX and international payment controlsHands‐on experience in a large‐scale ERP (NetSuite, SAP or similar)A track record of improving AP processes and controls — you know what valuable looks like and can build itThe confidence to coach finance colleagues and work with engineering teamsBroader accounting experience, or an interest in moving that way over timeUsing AI tools or automation to remove manual workExperience working remotely and autonomouslyThe EnvironmentFully remote, five days a week, from anywhere in Australia.
The finance team is split across Melbourne, Sydney and SE Asia.
The structure is flat, with direct visibility to the CFO and CEO, and the culture is output-focused.
