About the Role
As a Secondary Teacher, you will deliver high-quality learning experiences that motivate students to develop their physical, social and emotional wellbeing. You will foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student is encouraged to challenge themselves, build confidence, and develop a lifelong appreciation for healthy living and physical activity. You will also play an important pastoral role in supporting students' wellbeing, engagement and personal growth within our Christian community.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and contemporary HPE programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
Foster a positive, secure and inclusive learning environment.
Inspire students to participate in physical activity, health education and sport.
Assess, monitor and report on student achievement and progress.
Support the wellbeing, engagement and personal development of students.




Build positive partnerships with students, parents and colleagues.
Contribute to co-curricular and sporting programs.
Undertake Home Group Teacher responsibilities, including pastoral care and student support.
Actively contribute to the broader life of the College.

About You
You are an enthusiastic educator who values relationships and understands the powerful impact teachers have on student wellbeing and success. You bring energy to the classroom, encourage participation from all learners, and create opportunities for students to grow in confidence and capability.
Essential Requirements
Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration or eligibility for registration.
Ability to teach Secondary Health and Physical Education.
Demonstrated ability to build positive and productive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
Commitment to student wellbeing and pastoral care.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to teach Cert III in Fitness (desirable)
A willingness to support and contribute to the Christian ethos and values of the College.
