What we are looking for:We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual who is eager to start a career in warehousing, logistics and stores operations.
This opportunity offers a structured two-year traineeship combining practical, on-the-job experience with formal study toward a Certificate III in Warehousing Operations.
Working within our Procurement and Stores team, you will develop valuable skills in stock control, inventory management, administration and customer service while contributing to the delivery of essential services across Council.What your day will look like:Assist with stores and warehousing operations, including receipting and issuing stockSupport inventory control activities and maintain accurate recordsPerform data entry and assist with purchase requisitionsProvide customer service to internal and external stakeholdersParticipate in formal training and workplace learning activitiesWork safely and contribute to a positive team environmentWhat you'll need for success:Current C Class or CA Driver Licence (provisional or open)Willingness to successfully complete a Certificate III in Warehousing OperationsInterest in warehousing, stores operations, logistics or stock controlModerate computer skills, including Microsoft Office applicationsEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a team environmentReliable, proactive and willing to learnAbility to follow instructions and work safelyWhat's nice to have:Previous warehouse or stock control experienceAbility to undertake training to obtain a High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL)Benefits of Working with CouncilCommitted to providing quality services to our community, we strongly support an inclusive and values driven culture, recognising your individual skills, knowledge and talent.
