What we're offering
Salary range between $100,000 - $120,000 with bonus
Working Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm
A clear path to the top: a defined pathway to Manager and beyond in a firm growing through new offices and acquisitions, with a future path to profit share for the right person
AI that takes the grunt work away: we use modern AI and automation tools so you spend your time on advisory work, not data entry
Flexibility and balance: hybrid working, and a well-planned busy season that doesn't mean months of late nights
About the role
We're looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team, manage a portfolio of high-value clients, and play a key role in mentoring junior staff.
You'll work independently and own your engagements from start to finish, while being backed by a collaborative, experienced team and a Senior Manager who wants you to succeed.
This is a role for someone who enjoys the technical side of the job but also wants to step up: building client relationships, contributing to advisory work, and helping shape the next generation of accountants in the firm.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and review complex individual, company, partnership, trust and SMSF tax returns
Prepare and review financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards
Manage your own client portfolio, acting as a trusted point of contact and responding promptly to client queries
Review the work of junior staff, providing constructive feedback, coaching and on-the-job training
Work on structuring matters such as family trusts, bucket companies and Division 7A loan arrangements
Stay on top of changes in tax law, regulations and accounting standards, and share that knowledge with the team
Support your Senior Manager/Associate with client meetings, software selection, business advisory, and strategic tax planning and structuring advice
Identify opportunities to add value for clients across tax, advisory, estate planning and lending
About you
CPA or CA qualification (essential)
Minimum 5 years' experience in Australian public practice
Strong technical knowledge across individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships, with SMSF experience highly regarded
Confidence communicating complex tax matters in plain English to clients
A results-driven mindset, with the technical depth to apply your knowledge efficiently across a range of engagements
Experience supervising, reviewing or mentoring junior team members
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
Commitment to ongoing career development, including maintaining required CPD hours and professional memberships
Please note:
Candidates must reside in Australia and have permanent work rights with no restrictions to apply.
