Booth Transport, a national transport company, has just opened a brand-new workshop in Gracemere, and we're looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team.The successful applicant will be responsible for:Repairs, servicing and testing of company vehicles, trailers and equipment as per the company service scheduleDiagnostic and preventative maintenance, including improvement initiativesAttending breakdowns where requiredTo be successful, you will have:A trade qualification as a Diesel MechanicA car licence as a minimum (heavy vehicle licence advantageous)Experience diagnosing and repairing general mechanical faultsGearbox, general repair and servicing experienceRoadside breakdown experienceAn understanding of NHVAS requirements,



workshop compliance and Australian truck safety standardsA willingness to undertake general repairs within the depot and wash baysThe ability to meet strict deadlinesA reliable, motivated, team-oriented approach and a solid work ethicMedical fitness and willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screeningWhat we offer:$ per hour plus penalty rates, above award$1,000 sign-on bonus, paid on completion of your 6-month probationA set of Bridgestone tyres on your 24-month work anniversaryCompany uniform suppliedA brand-new, purpose-built workshop in a safe, clean and healthy environment
