Note: This is an office-based position within Sydney CBDTHE ROLEWe're on the lookout for an experienced Legal Counsel to join a growing organisation and provide strategic, commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.
If you enjoy working on complex transactions, partnering with senior stakeholders and taking ownership of legal matters from start to finish, this could be the perfect next step in your career.You'll play a key role in supporting business decisions, managing legal risk and delivering practical solutions across commercial contracts, property and development transactions, corporate governance and regulatory matters.Day to day, you will:Provide practical, solution-focused legal advice on commercial and corporate mattersDraft, review and negotiate commercial contracts and other legal documentationLead legal workstreams across acquisitions, disposals and development transactionsAdvise on property, investment, construction and corporate mattersBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external legal advisersIdentify, assess and communicate legal risks, working with stakeholders to develop solutionsContribute to governance frameworks,



policies and internal proceduresABOUT YOUYou're a commercially minded legal professional who combines strong technical capability with sound business judgement.
You're comfortable managing complex matters independently, building trusted stakeholder relationships and providing transparent, pragmatic advice that supports business outcomes.You'll also bring:A law degree and current Australian Practising Certificate5+ years' post-admission experience, including 1–2 years in an in-house Legal Counsel roleExperience across commercial contracts, corporate law, property, development or constructionExposure to transactions, funds management, employment law, disputes or privacy mattersStrong commercial judgement and the ability to balance legal risk with business prioritiesExcellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skillsA proactive, organised approach, with the ability to manage matters through to resolutionWHY YOU'LL LOVE IT HEREThis is an opportunity to join a growing organisation where legal advice has a genuine impact on business decisions and commercial outcomes.
