NQ Estimating & Civil Services is seeking a Stabiliser Operator to join our team on a casual basis.
This is an on-site position based in Cairns, QLD.
As a Stabiliser Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining stabilising equipment on construction sites, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met.
This role is integral to the success of our construction projects, contributing directly to project timelines and the quality of work delivered.Key responsibilitiesOperate stabilising equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer specifications and site safety protocolsPerform pre-operation and post-operation checks on stabilising equipment to ensure proper functioningMaintain accurate records of equipment operation, maintenance and any incidentsCommunicate effectively with site supervisors and other team members regarding equipment status and any operational issuesAssist with the setup and positioning of stabilising equipment as requiredComply with all relevant safety regulations, standards and site-specific requirementsConduct routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to prolong its lifespanReport any equipment faults or safety concerns immediately to site managementWhat we're looking forCurrent and valid operating licence or certification for stabiliser equipment operationProven experience as a Stabiliser Operator or similar plant and machinery operator role within the construction industryDemonstrated knowledge of safety protocols and procedures relevant to equipment operationStrong mechanical understanding and ability to perform basic troubleshootingExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently and take responsibility for equipment maintenance and safetyPhysical fitness and capability to work on active construction sitesHigh attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standardsFlexibility to work on a casual basis as required by project schedulesWhat we offerAt NQ Estimating & Civil Services, we value our team members and are committed to providing a supportive work environment.
