packing and preparing customer orders for dispatchChecking parts and quantities against job paperworkOrganising laser-cut components into the correct jobsReceiving and storing incoming materialsAssisting with loading customer and delivery vehiclesAssisting with the operation of laser cutting machinesLoading and unloading sheets and components from the laserAssisting with CNC press brake / bending operationsDeburring, linishing and finishing componentsDrilling, tapping and saw cuttingMoving materials and jobs throughout the workshopAssisting tradespeople and machine operators as requiredKeeping the workshop clean, organised and safeWhat We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is:Reliable, punctual and hardworkingOrganised and able to prioritise customer ordersCareful and accurate when sorting and packing componentsAble to follow job sheets and check part quantitiesMechanically minded and interested in machineryComfortable using hand and power toolsComfortable with manual handling and physical workshop dutiesWilling to learn and take on additional responsibilitiesSafety and quality focusedAble to work independently and as part of a teamPrevious experience in sheet metal, laser cutting, CNC bending, fabrication, manufacturing, engineering or warehousing would be highly regarded.A forklift licence is highly regarded.What We Offer$32–$37 per hour + super, depending on experienceFull-time, stable employmentDay-shift workshop environmentVariety of work and responsibilitiesHands-on experience with up-to-date sheet-metal manufacturing equipmentOpportunity to learn laser cutting and CNC bendingTraining and development for the right personOpportunity to take on more responsibility as your skills developSupport from experienced tradespeople and machine operators
