We have multiple full time roles based at Erina, Charmhaven and Long Jetty depots
About the role
As Trades Assistant, you will support vegetation management, maintenance, improvement and construction activities across Council's sporting facilities, roadsides, parks and reserves.
You will safely use hand tools, power tools and minor plant, operate a Council vehicle with a trailer, and help ensure public spaces are left clean and safe.
You will also complete associated records and safeguard Council plant, materials and equipment.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Applicant Profile
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A current Class C Driver's Licence
A Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
Extensive experience in general gardening, parks maintenance or sports facilities maintenance
Experience safely using hand tools and minor plant




The ability to work effectively in a team and provide quality customer service to the public
A flexible, safety-focused approach and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
The commencing salary for this position is up to $63,521K.
Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $73,599K on completion of assessment of skills and/ or performance plus 12% superannuation
These roles will have access to a 9-day fortnight
These roles are located across Council's Erina Depot, Long Jetty Depot and Charmhaven Depot
