The program will transition critical functions and historical data from legacy mainframe applications to modern digital platforms.Your new role:As an IT Project Manager, you will lead complex projects across a significant systems modernisation program.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, technical teams and external suppliers to support the successful delivery of new applications, platforms and integrations.Your responsibilities will include:Managing project schedules, resources, budgets and financialsDeveloping and maintaining resource and delivery plansManaging project scope, dependencies, risks and issuesCoordinating requirements, change and defect management activitiesSupporting the migration of legacy and historical dataOverseeing the transition of functionality into modern applicationsImplementing quality assurance processes and monitoring complianceManaging relationships with stakeholders,



suppliers and technical teamsProviding explicit project reporting and escalating delivery risksSupporting integration with broader government systemsWhat you'll need to succeed:Demonstrated experience managing complex IT projectsExperience delivering large-scale systems transformation or modernisation initiativesStrong project scheduling, budgeting and resource management skillsExperience managing scope, risks, issues and dependenciesKnowledge of requirements, change and defect management processesExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a complex environmentExperience with legacy systems, data migration or application replacement projects is highly desirableGovernment or justice-sector experience will be well regardedSuccessful candidates must be willing to complete a pre-employment police check and confidentiality and conflict-of-interest declarations.What you'll get in return:You will secure an initial contract of approximately eight months, working on a major technology transformation program based in Adelaide CBD.
