We're looking for a Senior Technical Advisor - Healthcare Infrastructure to support the delivery of the New Coomera Hospital on the Gold Coast.
Hello
At TSA Riley, we're a team of over 1,000 experts helping clients realise the transformative power of built assets.
Across infrastructure, transport, health, education and property, our work shapes how communities connect, live, work and grow.
We're looking for a Senior Technical Advisor - Healthcare Infrastructure to support the delivery of the New Coomera Hospital on the Gold Coast.
About the Role
Working within the client-side team at Senior Project Manager level, you'll provide technical leadership across the hospital's engineering and building systems.
You'll help ensure decisions made during design and construction deliver safe, reliable, maintainable and operationally ready systems.
This includes coordinating clinical, operational, engineering and project stakeholders while constructively challenging consultants and contractors.
You don't need to be a career project manager.

We're particularly interested in professionals who understand what it takes to operate and maintain complex facilities—and what they would do differently if given the opportunity to build from the ground up.
What you'll be doing:
Providing client-side technical leadership across design, construction, commissioning and handover
Reviewing engineering designs, technical submissions and proposed solutions
Coordinating mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and associated building systems
Applying an operational lens to reliability, resilience, maintainability and whole-of-life performance
Identifying technical risks, gaps and system interface issues
Working with consultants, contractors, commissioning specialists and suppliers
Coordinating clinical, operational, engineering and project requirements
Overseeing interfaces between building services, ICT, security, medical equipment and operational infrastructure
Supporting commissioning, testing and verification activities
Championing operational readiness, maintenance access, asset management and facilities management requirements
Supporting defect resolution, handover and transition into operations
Providing clear technical advice to senior project stakeholders.
About You
You're an experienced facilities, estates or building-services professional who understands how complex buildings operate in practice.
You may have managed engineering services across a hospital, university campus, health precinct or other critical facility, balancing operational requirements, maintenance priorities, asset renewal and capital works.
You'll ideally bring:
Approximately 10 years' experience in facilities management, estate management, building-services engineering or technically complex assets
Experience managing critical building systems within large operational facilities
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and associated services
Experience supporting design, construction, commissioning or major capital works
An understanding of operational readiness,

handover and asset lifecycle management
Client-side, owner-side, facilities management or campus engineering experience
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
The confidence to challenge technical recommendations constructively
Experience coordinating consultants, contractors, operators and end users
Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction, project management, building services or a related discipline.
Experience We'll Value
Hospital or healthcare experience will be highly regarded, particularly in:
Healthcare engineering or facilities management
Hospital commissioning and operational readiness
Critical infrastructure, central plant, essential power, HVAC and building management systems
Medical equipment and systems integration
Maintenance planning, asset renewal and capital upgrades
Clinical and operational stakeholder engagement.
We'll also consider transferable experience from data centres, defence facilities, airports, university campuses and other complex or mission-critical environments.
Direct experience delivering a major construction project is not essential.
Your practical experience operating and maintaining complex facilities may be exactly the perspective this project needs.
Why Choose TSA Riley?
The New Coomera Hospital offers the opportunity to influence the engineering systems, operational performance and long-term maintainability of a significant new healthcare facility.
Rather than inheriting decisions made by others, you'll help shape how this hospital operates for decades to come.
At TSA Riley, you'll benefit from:
A meaningful role on a major greenfield hospital project
The opportunity to influence outcomes from a client-side position
Collaboration with experienced healthcare, project and technical specialists
Exposure across design, construction, commissioning and operational handover
The prospect to transition your operational expertise into major project delivery
A supportive and inclusive team with broader career development opportunities.
If you've built your career understanding how complex facilities operate and want to help deliver a safe, maintainable and future-ready hospital, we'd love to hear from you.
