Join YWCA Canberra as our Children's Services Roster Clerk and play a key role in keeping our School Age Care and School Holiday Programs running smoothly.
Your planning and coordination will help ensure the right educators are in the right place at the right time—supporting high-quality, reliable care for children and families across our services.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director of School Age Care, you'll be a trusted coordination point for educators and service leaders.
You will:
Develop and maintain educator rosters across multiple services
Source and roster suitably qualified educators
Manage leave requests and staffing changes
Review and approve timesheets for payroll processing
Monitor educator qualifications and compliance requirements
Support recruitment activities, including phone screening, interviews and reference checks
Maintain workforce records and databases
Provide general administrative support to the Children's Services team
Participate in a paid on-call roster during weekdays and Sunday evenings




About You
You're someone who combines accuracy with initiative and stays calm when plans change.
You will bring:
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning new systems
The ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
A collaborative and proactive approach
Current WWVP Registration
Current National Police Check
Current Driver's Licence
Experience in children's services, rostering, workforce planning or administration
Early Childhood Education and Care qualification
Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
