Date published: Oct 15, ****, 13:20 PM
Location
Veritus Research, Bayswater VIC
Description
Veritus Research is an exciting new clinical trial site focused on delivering creative trials of pharmaceuticals, mainly in healthy volunteer participants. We have roles suitable for different levels of experience and are looking for medical practitioners who want to contribute to accelerating the advancement of medical research.
We conduct a diverse range of early-phase (First-in-Human) clinical trials, providing extensive opportunities for professional and career growth. With adaptable working hours, on-the-job training, and a strong emphasis on collaboration, we offer an engaging and rewarding career path in clinical research. All medical roles involve some combination of assessing participants for eligibility including informed consent, ongoing medical oversight and caring for participants on study, reviewing and interpretation of diagnostic tests at all stages of the trial and working within a larger multidisciplinary team. This is the core work of Sub-Investigators.
Principal Investigators spend their time engaging with sponsors about new trials and supporting business development, reviewing preclinical datasets (as found in the Investigator Brochure) and trial protocols in depth and providing feedback to support the Ethics review process.
They also oversee and manage the conduct of the trials throughout their lifecycles and contribute to key decision points along the way. The Principal Investigator encounters a fascinating mix of basic science, clinical medicine, research practice and commercial drug development.
Full and part-time positions at both levels are available.
Sub-Investigator: at least 2 - 3 years post-graduate experience with a strong foundation in safe clinical practice and attention to detail in their day-to-day work.
Principal Investigator: significant post-graduate experience in their area of clinical medicine, including in roles that involve supervision of other doctors; post-graduate or specialist qualification and/or significant prior experience in the clinical research space will be considered positively.
All applicants should have unrestricted General and/or Specialist Registration with AHPRA. If an applicant has some restrictions, these are considered on a case‐by‐case basis. Also, applications should have current medical indemnity and an Australian working visa if applicable.
