St Columban's Primary School, Mayfield is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Library Assistant (12 hours per week) to join our team from January ****. The successful applicant will play an significant role in supporting the daily operation of the school library and creating an inviting space that inspires curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning.

The School Officer/Library Assistant:
As a member of the library team, works to support teachers and students utilising Library facilities and resources
As a member of the school team, works to support nominated staff in the performance of their duties
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools
Recent experience working in a school library including working knowledge of OLIVER cataloguing system
Knowledge of WHS requirements in a library setting




Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to show initiative, work alone or as part of a team
A flexible approach to completion of tasks with frequent interruptions
QUALIFICATIONS
ALIA accredited qualification, preferably at the diploma level
Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
Completion of anaphylaxis training

Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement ****.
