RBC's Metals candidates with a strong background in the mining or resources industry who are looking to transition into research will also be considered.
Strong financial modelling skills are essential — candidates must be comfortable building, maintaining and interrogating detailed financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analysis, to support valuations and investment recommendations.
Proficiency in financial statement analysis, valuation methodologies (DCF, NAV, peer comparable) and the ability to interpret and communicate model outputs clearly.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate investment views in a clear, persuasive and structured manner to sophisticated domestic and global institutional clients.
Experience interacting with institutional investors, company management or other sophisticated stakeholders is advantageous.
