We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our on-site maintenance team at Melbourne Airport, working on large-scale automated systems that are critical to airport baggahe handling operations.

About the Role
You will be part of a dedicated maintenance team responsible for keeping complex baggage handling and automated systems operating safely and reliably in a live operational environment. The teams work in rotating shifts, supporting a 24/7 operation.
Key responsibilities include:
Work hands-on with advanced automated machinery and production systems.
Diagnose, repair, and maintain components to keep operations smooth.
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to implement innovative automation solutions.
Ensure compliance with safety standards while driving efficiency and reliability.
What We Are Looking For
Trade-qualified Electrician (Certificate III or equivalent).
Experience with industrial machinery, automation systems, and electrical schematics.
Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, and troubleshooting techniques.
Exposure to conveyors,



hydraulics, or automated systems (highly regarded)
Ability to work calmly in a live operational environment
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
