About the role

We're an independent supermarket south of the river looking for an experienced Fresh Produce Manager to lead our fruit and veg department. This is a hands-on role, reporting directly to a hands-on store owner. We need someone who drives sales through great merchandising and strong execution, not just a shelf filler.

What you'll do

- Run the fresh produce department day to day, leading from the front

- Develop and execute merchandising strategies that drive sales

- Trade the department well, managing stock levels, ordering and waste

- Work closely with our fresh produce buyer to grow sales while delivering on margin

- Keep standards high on quality, freshness and presentation

About you

- At least 5 years' experience managing fruit and veg, ideally in an independent supermarket





- A proven record of building sales through merchandising and in-store execution - we want a trader !

- A robust understanding of how to trade a department and manage stock

- Hands-on, energetic and proud of your department
