Environment & Planning Lawyer - PQE 5 Year's - Brisbane

Location: Brisbane, Queensland

Salary: $140,000 - $180,000

About the Role:
Our client, a leading law firm based in Brisbane, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Environment & Planning Lawyer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice and representation on a range of environmental and planning matters. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects, influence policy, and contribute to sustainable development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide legal advice on environmental and planning laws and regulations.
- Represent clients in court and tribunal hearings related to environmental and planning disputes.
- Assist clients with regulatory compliance, including obtaining necessary permits and approvals.
- Advise on environmental impact assessments and land use planning.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements related to environmental and planning issues.
- Liaise with government agencies, stakeholders, and community groups.
- Stay updated with changes in environmental and planning legislation and case law.
- Conduct due diligence for property transactions and development projects.
- Develop and implement environmental and planning strategies for clients.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
- Admission to practice law in Queensland.




- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental and planning law.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland and Australian environmental and planning legislation.
- Proven track record in handling complex legal matters and litigation.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
