Position: Irrigationist Assistant
Salary: $78,000 - $88,000 plus Superannuation

Experience: 2 years’ experience minimum

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the installation, operation and maintenance of irrigation systems across agricultural and horticultural areas.
Lay, connect and repair irrigation pipes, hoses, sprinklers, valves and drip lines.
Operate pumps, irrigation controls and related equipment to maintain effective water distribution.
Monitor irrigation systems and report leaks, blockages, pressure issues and other faults.
Assist with checking soil moisture and adjusting irrigation schedules as directed.
Carry out routine cleaning, maintenance and minor repairs of irrigation equipment and infrastructure.





To be successful in this role, it is essential you have:

Relevant AQF Certificate II or equivalent qualification and at least 1 year of relevant post-qualification experience (minimum 20 hours per week); or
At least 2 years of relevant experience (minimum 38 hours per week) in irrigation, farming, horticulture or a related field.
Practical experience in operating and maintaining irrigation systems and equipment.
Basic knowledge of irrigation pipes, pumps, sprinklers, valves and drip systems.
Ability to identify irrigation faults and carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs.
Ability to work safely outdoors and follow workplace health and safety procedures.
