Our client is a highly respected engineering company with extensive experience in providing word class quality products to the mining and construction industry. They pride themselves on quality services with a strong emphasis on safety including custom design and fabrication, equipment repair and maintenance, as well as equipment hire. Due to growth, we're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual who takes pride in their work to join their team as a Workshop Trades Assistant. This unique positionrequires a high level of attention to detail and a proactive helpful and flexible approach to assist trades staff with the repair and build of intricate pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, manufacturing processes and stores staff with pick, pack and despatch activities.
The varied workload across two departments calls for a cooperative,
flexible approach, working to timeframes and ensuring quality job completion.
The Role:
- Assist trades with machining, fitting, fabrication, assembly, repair and manufacturing requirements
- Assist with stores work including receiving, shipping, storing and packing stock in the warehouse.
- Conduct client deliveries as required
- General housekeeping of workshop
- Ensure all policy, procedures and safety requirements are adhered to at all times
What we're looking for:
- Experience supporting machining, fitting, fabrication workshop or similar
- Stores experience is desirable but not essential.
- Drivers licence
- Forklift license.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and work independently
- Able to carry our physical tasks as required
- Self motivated, good organisations skills
- Suited to working in a fast-paced environment.
- Punctual and reliable with exceptional interpersonal skills
