New Wave Care is looking for experienced, passionate and reliable Mental Health Support Workers to support participants across Moreton Bay through to North Brisbane suburbs. The role will require Support Workers to provide mental health support in the community, using a trauma-informed approach and drawing on their experience to support participants with their individual needs.

Key responsibilities

- Provide mental health support that promotes wellbeing, independence and community participation.
- Deliver trauma-informed support that recognises each person's individual experiences, needs and goals.
- Build positive, respectful and trusting relationships with participants.
- Support participants to develop skills, confidence and greater independence in everyday life.

About you

- Previous experience supporting people with mental health support needs is essential.
- A sound understanding of trauma-informed support.




- Solid communication and relationship-building skills.
- A compassionate, respectful and reliable approach to support.
- Current First Aid and CPR.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current driver's licence.
- A reliable, fully insured vehicle.
