Description:
The position has a key leadership role in resourcing and planning for mission development with congregations, faith communities and new faith communities within the presbytery.
There is a dual focus - on working proactively with existing congregations and faith communities to deepen their participation in God's mission, and to work with leaders on developing fresh expressions of mission, including recent faith communities.
Presbytery Minister - Mission Development applicants who
- have a strong personal spiritual walk with God that flows into all ministry areas
- are passionate about the mission of the church and its relationship to congregational life
- have expertise and experience in mission planning and development with congregations
- have a capacity to think theologically about mission and to equip others in missional and contextual reflection
- have a collaborative approach with strong networking skills
- are a people person with the ability to inspire and challenge, to facilitate and equip, and one who is able to make and implement decisions
- have an understanding of organisational change and experience in change initiation and management
