Your Story & Strengths

You’re an experienced WH&S; professional who combines strong technical expertise with a proactive, risk-focused approach to workplace safety and compliance. You understand how effective safety systems protect our people, strengthen workplace culture, and support the vital services of the ALS, while respecting the cultural values and community-controlled nature of the organisation. Key strengths include:

- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior WHS, safety, risk, or compliance position with relevant tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety, Occupational Health, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience developing and improving WHS Management Systems, including ISO 45001-aligned frameworks, across multi-site organisations.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management, incident investigations, compliance and workplace safety best practice.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and promote a positive safety culture.
- Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, organisational and reporting skills, with experience developing policies, procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Knowledge and appreciation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, values and practices, with a commitment to culturally safe workplaces and community-informed decision-making.
