Red Robin Kindergarten is an established private long day care centre in Eastwood, caring for children aged approximately 2–5 years. This is a hands-on leadership position combining Centre Manager and Early Childhood Teacher Preschool Room Leader roles. You will lead the day-to-day operation of the centre while remaining actively involved as the Early Childhood Teacher and Room Leader in the preschool room. You will work closely with the Approved Provider and lead an established team of educators, maintaining a happy, safe and well-run service for children, families and staff.

Key responsibilities

- Leading and supporting the day-to-day operation of the centre
- Leading and mentoring the team of educators
- Acting as Nominated Supervisor and ensuring regulatory and child-safety requirements are maintained
- Overseeing staffing, rosters, ratios and daily operational requirements
- Overseeing enrolments and supporting healthy occupancy through positive family relationships, responsive communication and community connection
- Building positive relationships with children and families
- Supporting staff performance, professional development and continuous improvement
- Leading the preschool room as Early Childhood Teacher and Room Leader
- Planning and delivering an engaging, play-based preschool program aligned with the EYLF
- Leading observations, programming, documentation and evaluation
- Supporting children’s transition to school
- Maintaining effective supervision and a safe, welcoming learning environment
- Working closely with the Approved Provider on staffing, compliance and operational matters

About you

We’re looking for someone who enjoys both teaching and leadership and wants to play an important role in a smaller service.





- ACECQA-recognised Early Childhood Teaching qualification
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Current child protection training and required first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQF, National Law and Regulations
- Experience as an ECT and Room Leader
- Leadership experience as a Centre Director/Manager, Nominated Supervisor or 2IC, or substantial early childhood leadership experience and readiness to take the next step
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A warm and professional approach with children, families and educators
- A genuine commitment to child safety and high-quality early childhood education
- Ability to speak Mandarin, Cantonese or Korean is highly regarded
