What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) is an extended role within the scope of a Registered Nurse/Midwife that provides safe, compassionate, person-centred care to patients and families of the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network.
- Acts as an appropriate and effective role model to promote culture and standards that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
- Provides senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service.
- Provides advanced skills and exercises extended autonomy of decision making while working closely with managers and other senior clinicians.
- Exercises extended autonomy of decision making;
- Exercises professional knowledge and judgement in providing complex care requiring advanced clinical skills.
- Undertakes leadership in the development of nursing specialty clinical practice service delivery in the ward/service;
- Undertakes primary case management within a defined specialty involving both inpatient and community based services.
