Finance Analyst (Reporting & Compliance)

Support the delivery of monthly financial analysis, management reporting, and executive presentations to senior leadership. This role is distinct from the accounting team and focuses on analysis, reporting, and business insights, with supporting exposure to compliance and controls. Ideal for candidates with a solid accounting foundation looking to transition into a more commercial and analytical role.

About the Role

Support the delivery of monthly financial analysis, management reporting, and executive presentations to senior leadership. This role is distinct from the accounting team and focuses on analysis, reporting, and business insights, with supporting exposure to compliance and controls. Ideal for candidates with a solid accounting foundation looking to transition into a more commercial and analytical role.

Key Responsibilities

Management Reporting & Analysis (55–60%):

- Prepare monthly financial analysis packs
- Perform variance analysis and explain key drivers
- Analyse OPEX, logistics, and overhead costs




- Support budgeting and forecasting

Executive Reporting (20–25%):

- Prepare PowerPoint packs for senior management
- Translate financial data into clear business insights

Compliance & Controls (15–20%):

- Assist with BAS and GST review
- Support audit and statutory reporting

Data & Tools (10–15%):

- Use advanced Excel (Pivot, Power Query)
- Support Power BI reporting (preferred)

About You

- Degree in Accounting/Finance
- CA/CPA (or studying)
- 4–6 years accounting experience
- Solid month-end and BAS exposure
- Experience in reporting or analysis

Skills

- Strong accounting foundation (not a pure data role)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Power BI / logistics experience is a plus
