About the Role

As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly, testing and commissioning of heavy diesel engines and power packs. Working within a production environment, you'll follow detailed work instructions, complete inspections and testing, and ensure all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble and test heavy diesel engines and power packs for defence platforms.
- Complete work instructions and production tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Perform pre-delivery testing and inspections.
- Complete job reports and maintain accurate service records.
- Utilise technical publications and production documentation to support quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

- A relevant Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle,



Mobile Plant or equivalent trade qualification.
- Experience working with heavy diesel engines and associated equipment.
- Sound technical knowledge of MTU, Detroit Diesel and/or Allison products will be highly regarded.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and assembly skills.
- The ability to read and follow technical documentation and work instructions.
- A commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
