CN - Rockhampton - Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMHS)

Rockhampton Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join its Child and Youth Mental Health Service on a contract basis. This is a Grade 6 position offering 76 hours per fortnight, based in Rockhampton, QLD. The contract runs from as soon as possible through to 30 October 2026, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to mental health care for young people in a dedicated clinical setting.

- Deliver clinical nursing care within a specialised child and youth mental health setting
- Contract position, 76 hours per fortnight, Grade 6 Clinical Nurse level
- Based in Rockhampton, QLD with a defined contract end date of 30 October 2026

Preferred Requirements





- Demonstrated experience in child and youth mental health nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and observation skills in a mental health context
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Sound communication skills with young people and their families
- Current knowledge of mental health best practice and therapeutic approaches for young people

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Post‑granted? hmm will check
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
