What you'll be doing

Practicing and promoting safe, efficient and effective midwifery care that reflects current standards of midwifery practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures

About You

You are a compassionate and highly capable Registered Midwife with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Your extensive knowledge, clinical expertise and commitment to evidence-based practice enable you to provide safe, high-quality midwifery care within a busy acute hospital setting. You consistently demonstrate sound clinical judgement and the ability to assess, prioritise and respond to the diverse needs of women and their families across all stages of care.

You possess well-developed clinical problem-solving skills and are confident in managing complex situations, making timely decisions and implementing appropriate interventions to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. Your ability to think critically and adapt to changing clinical circumstances ensures the delivery of safe and effective care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

You communicate professionally and effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary team members through strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.



You are proficient in the use of information technology and clinical documentation systems, ensuring accurate and timely communication that supports continuity of care and positive patient experiences.

As a collaborative health professional, you excel in planning, coordinating and evaluating midwifery care within a multidisciplinary team environment. You are committed to delivering outcome-focused care that promotes patient safety, supports informed decision-making and enhances the wellbeing of women and their families. Your flexibility, resilience and dedication to patient-centred care are demonstrated through your willingness to participate in a seven-day rotating roster, including night duty, weekends and public holidays, ensuring consistent and reliable care delivery across all shifts.
