We're recruiting an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join an established Brisbane business based in Eight Mile Plains.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on finance qualified who enjoys taking ownership, mentoring others and working closely with senior leadership.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll play a key role in overseeing day-to-day finance operations, supporting the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, and maintaining strong financial controls across the business.

Day to Day:

- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Prepare cashflow updates and assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
- Support inventory reconciliations and work closely with operational teams.
- Mentor, train and provide constructive feedback to junior finance team members.
- Monitor financial controls, compliance requirements and internal procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.




- Act as an escalation point for the finance team and provide support to the CFO.

The successful candidate will have:

- Demonstrated experience in a Senior Finance Officer, Senior Accountant or similar position.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly month-end reporting and reconciliations.
- Experience overseeing or mentoring Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of financial controls.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback.
- A hands-on approach, with the confidence to take ownership of daily finance operations.
- The ability to work independently, manage priorities and lead by example.
