Reporting to the Managing Director, you will manage the brand and product-range activities of our dry goods business, with an initial focus on growing TRIXIE in Australia. This is a hands-on commercial role combining brand planning, product-range management, supplier relationships and marketing coordination. You will identify opportunities, develop practical plans and work across the business to turn those plans into successful retailer ranging, launches and ongoing sales.

Working closely with our sales, purchasing and operations teams, you will help ensure our products are appropriately positioned, commercially viable, well supported and available to meet customer demand. You will work with both Premier Pet's own brands and the international brands we distribute, with administrative support available when needed.

The initial focus is on managing and growing our existing and incoming product ranges rather than developing current products with manufacturers. There may be scope to take on product development responsibilities as the role and business evolve.

The position is full-time and office-based in Narangba. Occasional retailer visits, overseas supplier visits and attendance at trade shows are likely.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and manage brand and product-range plans aligned with sales, margin and business growth objectives.
- Identify market opportunities through competitor research, category trends, retailer feedback and sales analysis.
- Select and structure product ranges suited to Australian retailers and consumers, including core assortments, priority products and channel-specific opportunities.
- Review range performance and recommend product additions, rationalisation and discontinuations.
- Coordinate the introduction and launch of products from our brand and supplier portfolios, including positioning, pricing recommendations, product information and launch readiness.
- Build productive relationships with international brand partners and suppliers, identifying opportunities to improve our ranges and commercial outcomes.




- Work collaboratively with purchasing on supplier terms, product costs, buying decisions and supply requirements.
- Prepare retailer range proposals, product presentations and commercial selling tools for chains, online retailers and independent stores.
- Coordinate marketing support, including promotional plans, product content, point-of-sale materials and merchandising concepts.
- Monitor sales, margins and brand performance, providing recommendations and taking agreed action to improve results.

About you

- Significant experience across several of the role's core functions, particularly product-range management, commercial planning and brand management.
- Strong commercial judgement and an understanding of pricing, margins, product costs and inventory investment.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities and translate them into practical plans and measurable business outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence interpreting sales, margin and product-performance information.
- Experience introducing products, managing ranges or preparing retailer proposals.
- Strong communication, organisation and relationship-management skills.
- A hands-on approach, attention to detail and the ability to follow projects through to completion.
- Supplier negotiation and purchasing experience are highly desirable.
- The ability to coordinate marketing activity and develop effective briefs and sales materials would also be valuable.
- Pet-industry experience or an advantage in aquariums, reptiles and other pets would be an advantage.
